Southwest Ontario
Niagara Falls - Southwestern Ontario Southwestern Ontario has been called Ontario's Riviera. Canada's southernmost point is here, and it's on the same latitude as Northern California. This is Canada's farmland, and its milder climate and warm lush land nestled between Lakes Huron and Erie make it ideal. While traveling through this rolling countryside you will see picturesque towns and villages that offer constant historical reminders of Ontario's past. Southwestern Ontario's superb variety of theatre, includes North America's finest Shakespearean festival, held every year in the town of Stratford. Attractive shoreline communities like Point Pelee, and Bayfield make perfect spots for summer fun, boating, relaxation, picnics, or just somewhere to visit for a while. Don't forget to visit the towering Niagara Falls on the Ontario and New York border. It is quite a sight to see.
