The North Channel of Ontario is called Algoma Country and features lands filled with forests, breathtaking scenery and its huge expanse of untouched wilderness. Here you will find Chapleau Game Reserve, the largest wildlife sanctuary in the Western Hemisphere. The reserve contains hundreds of bird species, while moose and bear wander freely. This is also where you will find the festive city of Sault Ste. Marie, set on one of the world's busiest waterways. Take a train ride up the Agawa Canyon, past lakes, waterfalls and rivers, to explore the interior of Algoma Country. In winter, take the Snow Train through a winter wonderland of ice and snow. Whether you seek a wilderness adventure, or just rest and relaxation at a first-class resort, you can find it all in Algoma Country.
