General Minnesota Information

Minnesota's shoreline is along 186 miles (300km) of Lake Superior. The shoreline is punctuated by rocky beaches, bays and coves. This northern part of the state is dominated by forests and small lakes. Minnesota's highest and lowest points are located in this northeastern part of the state. Here in the northern part of the state the summers are warm, with temperatures ranging from 59° to 86°F(15° to 30°C).

Minnesota Recreation

The summer weather makes for great swimming, fishing, hiking, canoeing and camping. During the cold Minnesota winters plenty of snow falls, making it great for skiing, skating, snowmobiling, ice fishing and sledding. Don't forget your clubs on your Minnesota vacation, you will find over 450 golf courses. Bike trails are located conveniently as well, and the city life is here too with the Twin Cities and Duluth offering lodging, shopping and entertainment.
